Unique Wedding Cake Pictures

Remember, you don't have to pay big bucks for a creative or amazing wedding cake. Take the pictures of the cakes you want to your local supermarket bakery and ask if they can make it.

Finding a Creative Inexpensive Venue

The biggest part of your budget will probably be the venue, why? you ask, because most likely the venue will also cater the food, most of them won't allow you to bring your own which would be cheaper. If you have 75 guests at $30 per guest (most likely a chicken dinner) that's $2250 just for the venue. Please keep in mind I'm assuming you didn't pay $5000 for your wedding dress. Finding a venue that will be within your budget is not as hard as you think. Here are a few options.

1. A backyard
2. The park (small fee)
3. The beach (Might need a permit, small fee)
4. A restaurant

If you choose the backyard, the park or the beach these are the things you'd have to rent for a 75 guest wedding with the average amount for each.

1. Tent - average $150
2. Tables - eight tables that seat ten $64
3. Chairs (usually $1) - 80
4. Linens for tables (rent online)- $64
5. China - $150
6. Catering for 75 people (buffet style)- $750

For a grand total of $1258 (these prices might vary by state), that's almost $1000 less. Be creative and learn to negotiate, but if you can't, grab that family member that always embarrasses you by asking for a better deal, you'll thank them!

Wedding Dresses with Sleeves

Nowadays you can walk into a bridal shop and be shocked at the fact that although they have 1000 dresses in stock, they don't have one with sleeves. Bridal salons usually carry what sells, and most modern brides want strapless instead of a wedding dress with sleeves. But if you are a bride that wants to look modest in a wedding dress with sleeves, here are a few that will do the job. These wedding dresses will make you look like a modern bride instead of outdated.

How soon should I order my Wedding Dress?

You should start shopping for wedding dresses shortly after you choose your date, providing that date is a least a year away. You should definetely order the dress at least six months in advance to make sure you have enough time for alterations, some will tell you nine months in advance. Some bridal stores have a five month lead time on their wedding dresses not including alterations. Always remember that even if you are shopping off the rack your wedding dress might still need to be altered, so the earlier the better.

Simple wedding ideas!

Many brides choose to to have a simple wedding not just because of budget but because it fits more their personalities. Having a simple wedding consists of having family and closest friends only. It could be done at a venue, a home, backyard, or even a park. The main thing to keep in mind is that if you choose to go with a simple wedding, you have to make sure all the details are simple so that it doesn't look like something just doesn't belong.

This also applies to the dress. If you are getting married in a backyard, park or beach, be sure to choose a wedding dress that will also compliment the venue. Don't wear an extravagant gown if everything around screams simplicity.

How important is the size of your ring?

OMG!! I saw a "Say yes to the Dress" episode where the bride was with her boyfriend for over 15 years, the boyfriend had proposed many years earlier but the ring he bought her apparently was TOO small!!! So she told him he needed to get her the ring she wanted (can somebody say spoiled brat?), apparently it took him a very long time to save up.... If I was him, I would have cut my losses right then and there. The ring does not determine how much the person loves you, you have to be very vain and materialistic to not see that. And if you are trying to impress others, I got news for you, we are human beings people will find something wrong and criticize you anyway. Just my thought.

Twilight Wedding Gown

So this is the Bella's wedding dress everyone is talking about. I personally don't like it, the back is okay but the front looks like a grandmother's night gown and Alfred Angelo is selling the dress for a woping $799, I say $300 tops.

Should you buy your Wedding Dress online?

Buying your wedding dress online can save you money. Some brides are weary of buying their wedding dress online because they cannot try it on as they do in a bridal shop, but discarding this entirely can cost you lots of money. Online bridal stores order the dresses based on your measurements as a bridal shop would do, sometimes even when you get measured at a bridal salon you end up having to do more alterations. Buying your dress online can save you up to 60% even after alterations. do your research and save some money on that perfect wedding dress.

Weddings on a Budget 5 "quick tips"

1. Consider having your wedding in your back yard, if you don't have one, ask a friend. Reception halls are expensive and most of them don't allow you to cater your own food.
2. If you do get a reception hall, Do a buffet style, instead of serving the food. it will bring the price per person way down.
3. Choose candles instead of flowers for your centerpieces. Flowers can take a big portion of your budget. But if you decide to use flowers, use a lot of filler along with the flowers to bring down costs.
4. Instead of hiring a DJ, use a lap top with downloaded music and some speakers. You'd be surprise to learn that this is what DJ's are using nowadays. if you don't have a lap top, borrow one from a friend.
5. Do you have an artistic friend that's good with photography? ask them to take the pictures of your special day as a gift to you. Be careful with this though, if there's something that might be worth paying for is your pictures and video, these will be your memories.

Wedding Dress Shopping "quick tip"

Determine your budget and stick with it. When searching for your dress online make sure to search by price, if at a bridal salon, make sure you tell them you only want to see dresses in your price range. Don''t even look at bridal gowns that are not within your budget. this will help avoid you falling in love with a Wedding Dress you cannot afford and will save you some heartache.

Personalize Your Wedding with a Theme

By: Jean Neuhart

Considering incorporating a theme into your wedding but are concerned over how time consuming or more expensive having a theme may be? Don’t despair, having a theme wedding is easier than you think.

Where to start – The theme should suit both you and your fiancĂ©. Think about what you do together in your spare time. Are you into literature? Do you love to travel or go to the movies? Follow the NASCAR circuit? Even the season when you’re getting married can suggest a theme. After you’ve chosen a theme, think about how much you want to incorporate it into your ceremony and reception.

Having a theme wedding doesn’t necessarily equate to being more expensive. The different elements which go into a wedding – ie. favors, centerpieces, music, cake – are present regardless of whether or not there is a theme. Decide if you want to go subtle with just a few theme-related elements, or go all out. Into literature? Select a beautiful love poem (you can’t go wrong with Browning, Barrett or Shakespear), for your ceremony reading. Give bookmarks as favors. If you love to travel, instead of using numbers, name each guest table after a different location you’ve visited, or plan to visit. For a sea/beach theme, forgo the mints wrapped in tulle by treating your guests to chocolates shaped like seashells. (For the budget-minded, use do-it-yourself candy molds and prepackaged candy mixes). For an Autumn Harvest theme, decorate with bowls of apples, stalks of corn, pumpkins, gourds and pressed leaves.

What remains after the wedding day are the memories, and the photos and video when those memories begin to fade. However because of having a theme, memories will fade slower because of the uniqueness. Your guests tend to remember something for a longer period of time if there is something different about it. After the planning is done and your wedding day comes together, your guests will be delighted at taking part is something different, yet very much reflects you and your groom.
