Don't Need a Gift Registry?
Lots of brides are moving away from the gift registries, mostly because they are living with their hubby-to-be and they already have everything they need for their home. Then comes the question about asking for cash from your guests. How do you ask, is it tacky? And so on and so on. Well how about a money registry or honeymoon fund? I think it's a wonderful idea and it won't feel like you are asking for cash. At www.honeymoonpixie.com that's exactly what you can do. Set up a honeymoon registry where your guest will give you a monetary gift you can later redeem to go on your honeymoon. I know lots of couples spend all the money on the wedding and put off the honeymoon (which is crazy), but by having a honeymoon registry will ensure you go on that deserving and much needed honeymoon.

Hiring the Right Wedding Photographer
fathead.com |
Ask lots of questions like:
1. How long have you been doing this?
2. Make it fun. Did you start doing events or photographing birds?
3. How many weddings have you done?
4. Can you show me pictures of some of the weddings?
5. Can I contact some of the people you have done work for?
6. Please provide their information so that I can contact them.
Some brides hire photographers because of price, and while it is understandable that a bride on a budget looks first at the price, this is one of the things you should not skimp on. Reduce your budget in other places, whether it is the favors or the linens make sure your pictures are not where you are making cuts. Make sure the photographer is not chosen just because of price. I'm not saying that you can't find a good inexpensive photographer; I'm saying that you should ask the questions and take them into consideration before making your decision. The wedding photos are the memories that will stay with you for a lifetime, and let's hope your marriage does the same. Make sure you hire the right person for the job, because you cannot redo the wedding event the same exact way to get the right pictures. Although I did read about someone trying to do that after they sued their photographer, but really, you want to be able to get it right the first time. Have fun interviewing
Brides Beware What You Wish For.
I've heard brides complain about not getting any help from their future hubby in any of the planning for their wedding. Brides sometimes feel that they are doing all the work while their groom sits back and watches. On the other hand, I also know that most of the time the bride and groom do not agree on the decisions to be made; you might want your fiance's help but you really wouldn't take any of his suggestions. This can cause even more stress for everyone. If you really want your groom to help with the planning, be really honest and really take his views and suggestions into consideration. If you know that your husband wants a 70s wedding while you want a fairy tale princess one, find someone else to help and let him sit back and watch.
